Belt Tensioning Step 1

Belt Tension Inspection

Instructions

1

Inspect the timing belt for proper tension by pressing down on the belt between the pulleys.

2

The belt should have slight give but should not be loose enough to skip teeth.

3

If the belt is too loose, you'll need to adjust the eccentric shaft cap to increase tension.

4

If the belt is too tight, the system will be hard to move and may cause premature wear.

Important Notes

1

Proper belt tension is critical for smooth operation and longevity of the system.
